Degree Requirements
The requirements are based on the completion of eight semesters of study for a total of 128 credits. In the four-year prescribed program, courses are to be distributed as follows:
- 4 credits in biological and physical sciences
- 4 credits in philosophy/ethics
- 16 credits in behavioral sciences
- 12 credits in humanities
- 4 credits in computer sciences
- 4 credits in statistics
- 2 credits in physical education
- 10 credits in health and rehabilitation sciences
- 12 credits in distribution electives
The degree candidate can complete 60 credits in rehabilitation and human services courses.
Grade Point Average
Students must maintain an overall grade of B or higher with no more than 8 credits of C+ work in all rehabilitation counseling courses. A grade of B or higher is required in fieldwork. A minimum GPA of 2.3 must be attained by the junior year and maintained for graduation.
