Gloria S. Waters
Dean; Professor of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences
BA, McGill University (Canada); PhD, Concordia University (Canada). Dr. Waters’s research interests include the localization of language functions, individual differences in working memory capacity and language comprehension, the development of psycholinguistically-based assessment tools, and the acquisition of reading and speaking skills in hearing and deaf children. Her current research includes the study of sentence processing in aging and dementia and studies investigating the localization of syntactic processing using functional neuroimaging techniques. Dr. Waters’s work is funded by NIH. She is also affiliated with the Neuropsychology Laboratory at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
