SELECTED GRANT ACTIVITY
Current Research Grant
Efficacy of Electrical Stimulation for Dysphagia in Head and Neck Cancer Patients
This multi-site clinical trial will determine whether aggressive exercise vs aggressive exercise paired with electrical stimulation will reduce the swallowing problems seen in H&N Cancer patients post- radiation therapy.
Role: Principal Investigator
Recent Research Grant
PPG – Miller (PI) 7/1/02 - 6/30/07.
NIH/ NIA
Frontotemporal Dementia: Genes, Images, and Emotions
Goals in my project were to identify sub-clinical indicators of abnormal motor function in the tongue, larynx, and/or velopharynx in patients who are suspected to have FTLD or other neurodegenerative diseases. Also to characterize the behavioral abnormalities in FTLD.
