Gayle DeDe

Research Assistant

Gayle is a doctoral student in the Department of Speech Language and Hearing Disorders. Her primary research interest is in the area of sentence comprehension, particularly understanding sentence comprehension impairments in people with aphasia. She is also interested in the cognitive changes associated with normal aging, and how they affect language processing. Gayle's primary clinical interests are in the area of neurogenic communication disorders. She received her master’s degree from Boston University in Spring 2002 and went on to complete her clinical fellowship at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital. She has been involved in the development of several treatment groups at the Aphasia Community Resource Center, and was the clinical supervisor for the Memory Group. Her undergraduate degree is from McGill University where she was a Psychology major and Linguistics minor.
