Research Physiologist, Thermal and Mountain Medicine Division, US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine; Adjunct Professor, Boston University.

Dr. Leon is presently researching the role of cytokines in thermoregulatory, metabolic and tissue injury responses to environmental stressors. She has received grants from the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT) and the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS). Dr. Leon currently serves as a Councilor for the Environmental and Exercise Physiology Section of the American Physiological Society and is a member of the Society for Neuroscience.
