Other University Facilities

  • Please note that for buildings that are closed Saturday and/or Sunday, or weekday evenings, your organization may be required to requisition B&G services to open/close the facility.
  • Additionally, if the building is normally closed for the time period of an organization's event, the organization is required to pay a B&G custodian for the entire event.
  • Academic space, with the exception of lounge space, is reserved through the University Reservations Office, 353-2932, GSU 2nd floor.
  • Food may not be brought into rooms with fixed seating or carpeting. When registering space make sure to request a room appropriate to your needs.
  • The locations listed here are all no food rooms.
  • All media equipment listed must be requisitioned using Media Services.
  • All University facilities are Smoke Free.

Sargent Activities Center - Overnight Events Policy

For SAC Overnight Events with BU Students and no guests:

  • We can accommodate up to 200 overnight guests in the Multipurpose Room on the 1st floor.
  • Arrangements can also be made for use of the Delaware Room and Dance Studio on the 3rd floor but not simultaneously with the Multipurpose Room.
  • There must be a sign-in area on the first floor.  This should be run by the BU students from the sponsoring organization.
  • A copy of the sign-in list must be given to SAO following the event. 
  • Arrangements can be made to access the restrooms with showers located on the second floor (there is no elevator to upper floors).  Any guests with special needs should be first to be accommodated in the Residence Halls.
  • Costs:  A GSU Tech form must be filled out requesting a GSU staff member to be present from the time the building is normally closed to when it is normally open.  $15/hr
  • BUPD and B&G charges may also apply.

For SAC Overnight Events with Non-BU Students:

  • All guests must be college students with valid school id
  • We can accommodate up to 200 overnight guests
  • Guests must sleep in the Multipurpose Room on the 1st floor
  • Access to 2nd and 3rd floors will be restricted
  • Access to 2nd floor Bathrooms and Showers will be restricted until 8am the next morning.
  • There must be a minimum of 2 BU Student Hosts, for every 100 guests, from your organization present for the duration of the reservation.
  • There must be a check-in area on the first floor with a list of all guest names and colleges.  This should be run by the BU students from sponsoring organization.
  • A copy of the list must be provided to SAO and the GSU Administration staff member working the event.
  • There will be a lock-in at midnight.  Anyone who arrives after midnight will not be permitted to enter and anyone who leaves is not permitted to re-enter.
  • There are restrooms with showers located on the second floor (there is no elevator to upper floors).  Any guests with special needs should be first to be accommodated in the Residence Halls.
  • Guest Policy Meeting: Must meet with a GSU Administration staff member to review guest policy and approve event.
  • Costs:  A GSU Tech form must be filled out requesting a GSU staff member to be present during the times that the building is normally closed.  $15/hr

Hosting Overnight Guests in the Residence Halls

  • You are allowed to have your group members who are living on campus host up to 3 guests in accordance with the current BU Guest policy. Having guests stay in residence hall common areas is not an option.
