Directions to Senior Week Events
MOHEGAN SUN: You must take the provided transportation to the casino. Buses will depart from the GSU at 5 pm and return to the GSU by 2:30 am.
MARTHA’S VINEYARD: You must take the provided transportation to Martha’s Vineyard. Buses will depart from the GSU at 7:30 am & return to the GSU by 8 pm.
JAKE IVORY’S: Jake Ivory’s is located at 1 Landsdowne St. Doors open at 9 pm.
HARBOR CRUISE: The Provincetown II is docked at the World Trade Center in the Seaport District. Boarding begins at 6:45 pm and we return to dock at 11 pm. You are responsible for getting to the event. Directions can be found online at www.baystatecruisecompany.com/directions.html or read below.
Take the MBTA Red Line to South Station then either…
Walk: (Walk will take about 15min) walk up Summer Street and make a left onto Dorchester Ave. Turn right onto Congress and walk over the bridge. Turn left onto Sleeper Street. Turn right onto Northern Ave, which will turn into Seaport Boulevard. The boat is docked beside the World Trade Center on the Left.
Transfer to Silver Line: Take the Red Line to South Station then transfer to the Silver Line. The trip from South Station to World Trade Center takes only four minutes. The ship departs from the Westside of the World Trade Center (the side that faces the city skyline). The Silver Line stop is less than 100 yards from the pier. Take the New Congress Street street-level exit. Proceed to the crosswalk to the left of the station’s exit doors. Take a right across the crosswalk, one short block to the pier at the World Trade Center (the Seaport Hotel blocks one’s view of the ship, just across the street from the Silver Line Station).
Shuttle buses will be available after the Cruise to bring you back to BU. Stops will be made along Commonwealth Ave. at Kenmore Square, the old Burger King, the GSU, Buick Street, Harry Agganis Way, Packards Corner, and Harvard Ave.
BBQ: You must take the provided transportation to Waterworks in Quincy. Buses will depart from the GSU at 12:30. Buses will leave on the hour from Waterworks beginning at 3 p.m. until the end of the event at 5 p.m.
SENIOR BALL: Hyatt Regency Cambridge, 575 Memorial Drive, Cambridge. Doors open at 9 pm. The Hyatt is most accessible by cab or walking across the BU Bridge.
CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION: The George Sherman Union Grand Ballroom, 775 Commonwealth Ave. Doors open at 4 pm and the event ends at 6 pm.
FENWAY PARK TOUR: Meet at 12:15 for respective tours. Tours begin at the Souvenir Store on Yawkey Way at 12:30.

Join the Boston University community as we honor our graduating undergraduate seniors. Receive your Senior Gift and find out who your Commencement speaker will be! 9 a.m. in Metcalf Hall, 2nd floor of the George Sherman Union. FREE, limit 1
Mohegan Sun
Enjoy a night of fabulous food, fun and friends (and even a little gambling) at Mohegan Sun! Students under 18 are welcome, but you must be 21+ to enter any of the casinos or clubs. Buses depart the GSU at 5 p.m. and return at 2:30 a.m. Ticket cost includes round-trip bus fare, dinner voucher, and admission to the casino. $20, limit 2 tickets per person.
Martha's Vineyard
Roll out of bed (or just stay up all night) and catch the bus at 7:30 a.m. for a day of fun and sun on Martha's Vineyard. Spend a relaxing day on the beach or explore the quaint streets and local shops of Oak Bluffs, Edgartown and Vineyard Haven. This event will take place rain or shine! Buses depart the GSU at 7:30 a.m. and return at 8 p.m. Ticket cost includes round-trip bus and ferry fare. $35, limit 2 tickets per person.
Tour of Fenway Park* Monday OR Wednesday* date correction
Make friends with the Green Monster on your tour of the oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball. Explore the press box and broadcast booths, walk through the Red Sox Hall of Fame Club and see what it’s like to sit in the dugout. The tour begins at the Souvenir Store at 4 Yawkey Way at 12:30 p.m. Families welcome. $10, limit 4 tickets per person.
Jake Ivory's
Here's your chance, to remember your favorite memory of college, at The Best of BU Party at Jake Ivory's. Dress as your best or funniest memory from BU , whether it’s a t-shirt from when you went abroad, your World Series Red Sox hat, or your lucky BU Hockey shirt, come dressed up and ready to party. The best costumes and stories will win great prizes like Red Sox tickets for later Saturday, May 17th and more! Eat, drink and yell out song requests to the boisterous piano players—who claim they can't be stumped! Doors open at 9 p.m. 19+ for BU seniors. All guests must be 21+. Bring passport or valid state ID for cash bar. $10, limit 2 tickets per person.
Harbor Cruise
Celebrate your graduation with a three-hour tour of the Boston Harbor on Tuesday, May 13th. The luau-themed cruise will have plenty of music, dancing, and excitement. All BU Seniors must be 18+ and all guests must be 21+ with a valid state id or passport for cash bar. Dress is casual, and this event will take place rain or shine! The boat will begin boarding at 6:45 p.m. and will return at 11 p.m. Shuttle buses will be provided after the cruise to bring students back to BU. $35, limit 2 tickets per person.
Senior Ball
Party away one of your last nights as an undergrad at the Studio 54-themed Senior Ball! Hot music, stellar lighting, and fabulous company, combined with food and drinks will provide for a night of great memories. DJ spins 9:00pm-1:00am, so be ready for a night to remember! Join the semi-formal fun at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Students 18 and over are welcome but you must be 21+ to drink. Please remember your valid, state-issued ID. $30, limit 2 tickets per person.
Life's a Beach BBQ
Join the class of 2008 for an afternoon barbeque at Waterworks in Quincy. This bar/club is complete with palm trees, a dance floor, beach volleyball, and a cash bar that that will help make an amazing private party for BU Seniors. All BU Seniors must be 18+ and all guests must be 21+ with a valid state id or passport for cash bar. Waterworks will provide the food (ham/veggie burgers, hot dogs, and all the fixings), entertainment, as well as the beautiful views of downtown Boston. Round trip bus transportation included in ticket. Buses will leave at 12:30 p.m. Shuttles will return to BU on the hour, starting at 3 p.m. $30, limit 2 tickets per person.
Champagne Reception
Join your deans, administrators and fellow students in honor of the Class of 2008 in the GSU's Metcalf Hall Grand Ballroom. This is the perfect opportunity for you and your family to say farewell to your favorite people at BU. Doors open at 4 p.m., and the event ends at 6 p.m. $12, no limit.
