Past Events

2008-2009:

Back Bay Ball
What a night! It was great to see 1500 of you dressed to the nines in shmancy dresses and suits at the Westin Copley. The night was completed by some downright delicious hors d'oeuvres and awesome music from DJ Case!

Winter Weekend
PC welcomed everyone back from break with Eagle Eye (drive-in style, of course) on Friday, and helped cheer on the hockey team against BC at Agganis 2.0 on Saturday. Fans were treated to an Agganis-like atmosphere in Metcalf Ballroom complete with contests, food, plenty of cheering, and best of all, a victory!

The Dark Knight Free Screening
Over 500 students got to check out The Dark Knight in Morse Auditorium and try out some brand-new XBox games afterwards.

Masquerade 2008 featuring MIMS
Candy and costumes aren't the only reasons Halloween was awesome this year...MIMS joined PC to make Masquerade one to remember! The SAC was at capacity, and costume contests and prizes completed the night.

Mr. & Ms. BU
Contestants from each school and college competed pageant-style for the coveted title of Mr. & Ms. BU. In the end, Mr. & Ms. ENG won the judges over with their charm, style, and interesting talent. It was a tough battle and all of the contestants put on a great show!

Second City Comedy Show
PC's annual Parents' Weekend event, Second City gives students and parents alike a hilarious night of skits, stand up, and improv. Chicago's famous comedy group performed a great show to over 900 guests, packing Metcalf Ballroom.

Girl Talk
One of the biggest mash-up artists out there, Girl Talk put on an unbelievable show for almost 2,000 frenzied BU students! The Death Set and Passion Pit opened the night with their unique styles of music.

Comedian Daniel Tosh
Never one for tact, Daniel Tosh cracked up a crowd of 1,000 with his dry, sarcastic wit. His opener Matt Fulchiron wasn't so bad either! They even stuck around afterwards for autographs and pictures!

Laser Light Show
A downpour of rain that night didn't stop hundreds of students from checking out The Beatles and Led Zeppelin's music set to a sick laser light show in the SAC.

Drive-in Movie
One of our most popular events is the annual fall Drive-in Movie. Upon returning to campus, thousands of BU students crowded Nickerson Field after dusk with blankets and snacks in hand to enjoy Sex and the City and Iron Man on a giant projection screen.

2007-2008:

Springfest 2008
Programming Council brought Three 6 Mafia and Cobra Starship to campus for one amazing night! Over 1500 people came out to see an awesome show, right on Nickerson Field! PC members had a hand in everything from loading equipment in and out, to helping out with dressing rooms and hospitality.

Campus Movie Fest
PC brought CMF back for a second year of film making and mayhem! BU represented with 70 registered teams and put out some pretty awesome films, ranging from funny to dramatic to just plain unique. About 500 people came to check out the films' premiere in the Law Auditorium and prizes were awarded to teams for categories like "Most BU" and "Best Film".

Back Bay Ball
Over a thousand students enjoyed an elegant evening in the Park Plaza last February as PC presented Boston University’s premiere semi-formal ball for students. Guests were greeted by a string quartet and enjoyed professionally catered food when they weren’t tearing up the dance floor.

Superbowl Party 2008
Patriots and Giants fans alike came to Agganis Arena for one of the biggest Super Bowl parties ever! Even non-football fans came to grab some free food and prizes and watch the game, both in the stands or while taking advantage of the free skate.

Winter Welcome Weekend 2008
PC "got cozy in the SAC" with Superbad and Across the Universe, shown drive-in style in the Sargent Activities Center, then sponsored a free skate in Agganis Arena to welcome everyone back from a long and restful winter break.

Gingerbread House Competition
Teams got creative and made some sweet abodes for the gingerbread man. Entries ranged from a two-story castle to a vacation house complete with a hot tub! PC provided all the materials and got to pick the winner of the best house, which won tickets to Back Bay Ball 2008!

College Humor LIVE
Students obsessed with the website got to see a hilarious live multimedia show, featuring MC Dan Levy, with comedians Na'im Lynn and Reggie Watts.

Masquerade 2007
Prizes, food, and a pretty sweet club atmosphere greeted students at PC's annual Halloween party. Costumes ranged from scary to creative to...well, just weird. Baseball addicts got their fix from the huge screen broadcasting game 3 of the World Series between the hometown boys and the Colorado Rockies.

Jason Reeves & Johnathan Rice @ BU Central
Programming Council and BU Central paired up to provide an awesome night of music for over 200 students. PC sponsored up-and-coming Jason Reeves, whose songwriting skills can be heard on his own albums as well as Colbie Caillat's "Coco".

Bisexual Orientation 101
Educator/Writer/Activist Robin Ochs spoke with students at BU Central and presented an interactive presentation on bisexuality and sexual identity. Students learned about the different levels of sexuality and were given the chance to hear each others' anonymous experiences. It definitely was one of the most unique and interesting PC events ever!

Virtual Insanity
Part of Fall Welcome Back Weekend, PC transformed Metcalf Ballroom into a giant arcade with gaming stations, prizes, and novelty attractions.
