Taiwanese American Student Association
The Taiwanese American Student Association won 2004-2005 Program of the Year honors for their Night Market event, held in BU Central on April 8. TASA transformed BU Central into a Taiwanese night market with cultural booths, food, music, and games. According to the organization, the goals of the program were to bring together the Asian organizations on campus to collaborate in a program of cultural celebration, to recognize the diversity of cultures, to create a relaxed and fun-filled environment in which to share Taiwanese culture, and to give back to the community by donating a portion of the proceeds to charity.
Programming Council
Programming Council has planned dozens of successful events in BU Central including an intimate engagement with Stephen Kellogg, a concert by Pete Francis of Dispatch, and the successful B-Side Sessions concert series designed to highlight rising stars in the music industry.
