BU Central LIVE Concert Series presents: Bang Camaro
with special guests The SnowLeopards
Thursday, September 6, 2007
“Bang Camaro is a heavy metal band with 10 to 20 lead singers, depending on who's available. The singers refer to themselves, whimsically, as the Choir. The group's explosive rise to the top of the local music scene -- orchestrated in time-honored Internet-age fashion with a fistful of MP3s posted online -- is as unlikely as Bang Camaro's gargantuan size and unfashionable sound.” – The Boston Globe
Bang Camaro’s "Push Push (Lady Lightning)" was featured on Guitar Hero 2.
The band has been recently featured in Rolling Stone and MTV, and The Boston Phoenix nominated Bang Camaro for Best Live Act at the 2007 Boston Best Music Poll
"The buzz is deafening." - Paul Robicheau, The Improper Bostonian
BU Central LOL Comedy Series presents: Lachlan Patterson
with special guests Renata Tutko and Ken Reid
Friday, September 7, 2007
"My Grandma. She's 91 and everyday she wakes up and has no Idea where the she is. And I wake up every morning to remind her she's in my basement. And then I turn the lights off.” - Lachlan Patterson
What's his style? Well, let's just say Lachlan will leave you with chest pains while knowing way too much information about his personal life and loving every minute of it.
"Clean and true!"- Enns Mitchell, Owner/Manager, The Comedy Union, Los Angeles.

BU Central LIVE Concert Series presents: Leroy Justice & Earl Greyhound
with special guests Illinois
Friday, September 21, 2007
Are you ready to rock? On September 21, the best in up and coming rock bands will be hitting the BU Central stage and taking no prisoners. The double headlining show features two New York buzz bands Leroy Justice and Earl Greyhound.
Of Leroy Justice, Paper Magazine says, "...alt-country meets southern rock, plus lots of guitars, sound will remind you of a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Rolling Stones.” Although East Coast boys, Leroy Justice seem pulled right out of a smoky Southern roadhouse.
Don’t call Earl Greyhound a throwback band but let’s just say that Led Zeppelin would be proud.
"You could call this Brooklyn power trio stoner rock, except that they sound so naturally lit -- cocky-kid vocals, nor'easter guitar riffs, and elbow-you-in-the-eye drumming." - Spin Magazine
BU Central LOL Comedy Series presents: Dwayne Perkins

BU Central LIVE Concert Series presents: Ludo
with special guest Breaking Laces
Friday, October 5, 2007
“Word of the band's earnest, melodic pop-punk with Moog accents precedes its tours. Intelligent humor is what really puts Ludo out in front of the pack, though, as boneheaded party-drunks, laundry, and various relationship struggles are treated with clever, idiosyncratic turns-of-phrase.” – The Onion
Ludo’s infectious brand of hilarious and catchy songs descends on BU Central on October 5. Ludo has moved across the country, performing in festivals such as the Warped Tour and Lollapalooza.
“Ludo offer a rock and roll adventure for the ages.” – AbsoutePunk.net

BU Central LIVE Concert Series presents: Ra Ra Riot
with special guest Harlem Shakes
Friday, November 2, 2007 - Doors at 9 pm
“Keyboardist/vocalist Wesley Miles sings in a dreamy croon not unlike Sam Prekop, and cellist Alexandra Lawn and violinist Rebecca Zeller add stately, elegant strings that cause frequent Arcade Fire comparisons. What sets them apart from their Canadian counterparts is that Ra Ra Riot is simply into making tunes that stick in your head, not grand statements.” - Pitchfork
Ra Ra Riot has emerged on the music scene as one of the freshest and most buzzworthy bands from the East Coast. As young as they may be, Ra Ra Riot perform as though they have been around for years.
Their live shows are as freewheeling as their name and have secured them opening spots for bands such as Tokyo Police Club, Editors, and Stellastarr.
“Ra Ra Riot is one of the best young bands we've heard in a really long time.” – SPIN.com

Eclectic Collective is a fiery, energetic, and innovative band that defies easy definition. Mixing everything from hip-hop to soul to rock, Eclectic Collective forges on new sonic territories while giving a nod to The Roots, The Fugees, and the Black Eyed Peas.
