Mike V. Vinces is originally from Lima, Peru. He graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Philosophy and Political Science. From there he went on to pursue Masters degrees in Political Science and Hispanic Literature at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. His favorite authors are Jean Jacques Rousseau, Plato, and Gabriel García Márquez. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Romance Studies Department at Boston University where he is a Teaching Fellow and is writing a dissertation focusesd on the poetically inspired political trajectory of the Argentine genius and poet Leopoldo Lugones. His main areas of interest are Platonic thought, the Enlightenment, Positivism, and Existentialism.
