Lecturer in French
Dr. Hawkes was raised in France. She has taught French language courses from beginner through advanced levels and has also served as the Resident Director of Boston University’s Paris Internship Program.
In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Hawkes translates texts from English into French. Her translation work includes a Karl Deutsch article: Théories du nationalisme, edited by Gil Delannoi and Pierre-André Taguieff (1991).
