Originally from Maui, Hawaii, Laura received her B.A. in English and Spanish from Wellesley College, where she completed her undergraduate honors thesis on the intersection of queerness and surrealism in the poetry of Federico García Lorca. Her research interests include modernist and surrealist poetry, gender and sexuality studies, queer theory, and the Generation of ‘27.
