Carolina Blázquez Gándara was born in Mallorca, Spain, the beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea. In her hometown she earned a degree in Hispanic Philology and a Masters in Hispanic Linguistics. In 2011, she moved to Massachusetts to work as a Foreign Language Assistant at the College of the Holy Cross. Afterwards, Carolina lived in Madison (Wisconsin) where she received a Master of Arts in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin.

She is currently a PhD candidate in the Romance Studies department at Boston University where she focuses in 20th century Hispanic poetry, especially in the poetry of César Vallejo and the Spanish social poetry of 1950’s.
