Research Interests
Ms. Donovan studies contemporary French and Francophone (post-colonial) literature. She is currently writing her dissertation on theatrical aspects of letters in women’s writings of the 21st century. She has participated in several conferences on the works of Marie-Ndiaye, Ken Bugul and Pascale Roze.
Ms. Donovan draws on her knowledge of drama and of French and Francophone literature to examine the role of letters in 21st as compared to 17th and 18th century fiction. She is also interested in gender studies and the problem of genres in literature. She is currently learning Wolof at Boston University.
