Background

Ms. Roy earned a bachelor’s degree at Dartmouth College, with a major in French and a minor in Education.  She taught at a boarding high school for three years and then returned to Dartmouth to complete a Master degree in liberal studies, with a concentration in cultural studies. She wrote a thesis on a Quebecois television series from the 1950s and 1960s.  Her interests are in the francophone literatures of North America, particularly Quebecois, Acadian and Franco-American.  She is originally from northern Maine, but has spent the last fourteen years or so in New Hampshire, with short stints in France and South Korea during that time.
