Sue Griffin coordinates first-semester elementary Spanish and trains new graduate students teaching Spanish. She is also the Interim Head of the Chinese Language Program in the Department of Modern Languages and Comparative Literature.  She served as Head of the Language Program from September 2007 to 2011. Sue was awarded the Neu Award for Excellence in Teaching in the fall of 2008. This is one of three teaching prizes awarded each year by the College of Arts and Sciences at Boston University. Sue’s interests lie in teacher training, teaching through technology, and improving courses taught to beginners. Other interests include Spanish and South African film, multiculturalism and diversity in the classroom, and magic realism.
