Marta Villar has been teaching Spanish in the Department of Romance Studies since 2009, where she coordinates sixth-semester Spanish and has developed a language course on film and literature. She has also taught at Simmons College. Her areas of interest are development of audio- visual materials for the teaching of Spanish culture and teaching written composition skills. Other areas of interest include music in film, the Spanish autobiographical novel, and women’s writing. She has published articles on Carmen Laforet and Carmen Martín Gaite.
