Background
Ms. Lozano served as Overall Coordinator for Spanish for 10 years and has devoted her professional life to research methods in the teaching of foreign languages. She received the Humanities Foundation Teaching Award in 2000 and was nominated for the Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1998 and 1996. Ms. Lozano was an Advisor for the Fulbright Exchange Program, Brazil-U.S. teacher-training program in 1998 and served as Summer Resident Director of the Study Abroad Program in Madrid, Spain, in the summer of 2005 and 2006. She has taught at Brandeis and Rutgers University.
