What are you doing?  Where are you working or studying?  Last May, we heard from a few members of our Classes of 2006 and 2007, but we're eager to hear from other alumni from Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures! Please tell us and show us (with photos) what you're up to. Contact Liz Politis.

French

Of our graduates in French, Olga Karanikos (2007) is working as an admissions coordinator for Europe, the Middle East and Asia for Embassy CES (a firm which teaches English worldwide).

Cate Kashem (2006) is working in publishing — Bedford/St. Martin — in Cambridge, MA.

Anne Molloy (2007) enrolled in an accelerated program at the NYU School of Nursing.

Kevin Wiles (2007) is working at the Council on International Educational Exchange in Portland, ME.

Spanish

In Spanish, Grecia Alvarez (2007) is serving as an assistant in BU's program in Madrid and immediately following, will attend the Library Science Master program at Simmons.

Shanna Bernkrant (2007) is enrolled in the BU School of Dental Medicine.

Jessica Bishop (2007) is pursuing an MA in Public Archaeology at University College London (UCL).

Alison Carberry is enrolled in the Hispanic Language and Literatures PhD program at BU.

Meghan Codd (2006) is living and working in Santiago, Chile as a volunteer with WorldTeach, a non-profit organization of Harvard's Center for International Development. She will be teaching English in Chile until December. Meghan writes that after returning to the U.S. she will pursue a degree in language education, international education or intercultural relations. Maria Fellie (2007) entered the graduate program in Spanish at the University of North Carolina and has embarked upon a translation of the work of Spanish poet Antonio Colinas.

Sergio Magana (2007) entered the MA program in Latin American and Border Studies at University of Texas at El Paso.

Peter Mahoney (2006) is a graduate student in the Hispanic Language and Literatures PhD program at BU.

Monica Midha (2007) was deciding which graduate program in Medical Sciences she would be attending this fall. We look forward to hearing from her.

Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya Rocio Silva Santisteban (2006) is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at the Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya; Director of a Political Journalist Master Degree at the same university and teaching part-time at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. She's also a weekend columnist at the National Daily Newspaper la Republica and contributor at NACLA News (in English, see an example).

Italian

European Incoming Services Of our 2007 Italian graduates, Sara Upton went to work for European Incoming Services which has offices in Boston and Rome.
