Academics

The Department of Romance Studies offers courses and programs in Italian, Spanish, Latin American, French and Francophone literature, as well as Linguistics. Our language programs serve students throughout Boston University, and explore many aspects of culture — including film, translation and creative writing — while developing communicative proficiency.
