Located adjacent to the Boston University Charles River Campus, the Town of Brookline is home to a number of apartment buildings owned and managed by the University. The center of campus is only a short walk, as are MBTA bus and trolley lines, and the shopping and services along both Commonwealth Avenue and Beacon Street.

There are one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a limited number of three-bedroom units available. Most apartments are in turn-of-the 19th Century buildings originally designed as apartment houses in what was then an emerging suburban area. Children of Boston University tenants who live in Brookline attend the Brookline Public Schools.
