Stress & Sleep

How to Own Your Stress (Before it Owns You!)

Time: 60 minutes

Audience: Students

Learning Outcome: Students will learn ways to effectively manage their schedules and exercises to aid them in relaxation.

Description: Students will be encouraged to assess their stress level and discuss the things that cause them stress. They will learn different strategies for managing their time more effectively, and will participate in several relaxation exercises that they can utilize on their own when they need to de-stress.

Sleep Well: Strategies for Getting the Sleep You Need

Time: 60 minutes

Audience: Students

Learning Outcome: Students will learn ways to improve the quality of their sleep.

Description: Students will learn about the stages of sleep, the importance of getting good-quality rest, and the basics of “sleep hygiene”. Through simple activities, students will be able to assess their current sleep quality and discuss ways to improve upon it in the future.
