Frances Forrester joined Technology Development in March 2019 to manage the commercialization of medical technologies (MedTech) developed by the faculty of Boston University.
Prior to joining BU, Frances was a PhD Fellow at Columbia Tech Ventures for almost three years. She was promoted to Senior Management Fellow during her tenure, where she coordinated the completion of multiple technology assessments and special projects.
Frances holds a BA in Biology from New York University and a PhD in Physiology and Cellular Biophysics from Columbia University. Her thesis work focused on age-dependent muscle function loss in C. elegans, with particular emphasis on UNC-68, the worm homologue for mammalian Ryanodine Receptor.
