The academic year is divided into two semesters of 15 weeks each and two
summer sessions of 6 weeks each. A credit hour (or semester hour) is
equivalent to one class hour a week or approximately fifteen hours over one semester.
Calculating Grade Point Average

Divide the number of grade points earned by the number of credits
attempted.

The grades and credits of all repeated courses are calculated in
the GPA.

The following grade symbols are not given honor points, and are not
used in the calculation
of grade point averages: AU, P, W, MG, H, NC and X.

“I” grades are not computed until all required work is
completed and an appropriate letter grade assigned.

“J” grades are not computed until the required work in
the same or continuing course is completed. The total credits are
computed in the GPA at that time.
