Boston University Application for the Post 9/11 Veteran’s Yellow Ribbon Program Fall 2014 / Spring 2015 / Summer 2015

Boston University will provide a maximum of 25 ‘ All University’ and 50 ‘Metropolitan College Students’ Yellow Ribbon Program Scholarships.

Students currently participating in the program for the 2013-2014 academic year are given the option of continuing in the program before other applicants are reviewed. If a student completes his/her program or chooses not to continue, his/her scholarship will become available to the first eligible applicant for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Complete this form if you would like to be considered for either the  All University Yellow Ribbon Program or the Metropolitan College Graduate Student Yellow Ribbon Program. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis as required by the Veterans Administration. You will be notified by email if a scholarship becomes available and you have been selected to participate in the program.

To participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, you must be using Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits at 100% eligibility.





Additional information:

  • For students confirmed as ‘University YRP participants’: BU will contribute up to a total of $9,000 per student, per year for the 2014-2015 academic year. The Veterans Administration will match the individual student amount for each qualifying veteran.
  • For students confirmed as ‘Metropolitan College Graduate Student Program YRP participants’: Metropolitan College will contribute up to a total of $2,000 per student, per year for the 2014-2015 academic year. The Veterans Administration will match the individual student amount for each qualifying veteran.
  • Once selected, the student will be confirmed as a YRP participant for the duration of his/her course of study or program as long as BU continues to participate in the program and VA education benefits apply. Students must remain continuously enrolled with no leaves of absence.
