Diploma Order/Mailing Schedule

The release of Diplomas/CeCredentials is tied to eligibility requirements. Diplomas/CeCredentials will be ordered automatically after the official degree conferral date once you have:

• An official graduation status (you can always review your graduation status via My Academics > Quick Links > Diploma & Graduation Summary)
• Provided a diploma mailing address via My Academics > Quick Links > Diploma & Graduation Summary
• Settled all University financial obligations and have no University holds

The date your diploma/CeCredential is automatically ordered depends on when you have fulfilled these requirements.

Diploma order/mail dates can be viewed a day after the order is placed in My Academics > Quick Links > Diploma & Graduation Summary. Anyone who has not provided a diploma mailing address and/or resolves a hold as of the final order date will be required to email diploma@bu.edu to request the release of their diploma/CeCredential.

All diplomas are mailed via USPS by our diploma vendor. Diploma production takes 10-15 business days. The estimated time of arrival is 1-2 weeks for domestic addresses, and 5-8 weeks for international addresses. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your diploma has shipped via USPS and when your CeCredential is available for download.
