Earth Day Celebration
Environmental groups from Boston University and the Boston area will gather on GSU plaza to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day alongside Dining Services and sustainability@BU. There will be free local, fair trade and organic food, demos, giveaways, bike-powered smoothies, seed-planting, water taste testing, music and lots of fun!

Recyclemania is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities.

Throughout the months of February and March, BU will be competing against schools from all over the country to improve our recycling rates.

ARD: Recycled Film Fest
After America Recycles Day, we will be having a mini-film festival featuring independent documentaries about enviornmental issues.

Trashed (20min): Trashed is a short documentary that focuses on North America's largest growing business: The Garbage Industry!
A Recycled Life (36min): This documentary follows the lives of the thousands of families that live and work the Guatemala City Garbage Dump, the largest dump in Central America.

Addicted to Plastic (86 min): Addicted to Plastic is a poignant documentary that investigates what we actually know about plastic, its toxic legacy, and solutions to the pollution.
