Meet the Faculty Director

David Randall

randall-davidMeet our faculty director David Randall, a senior lecturer in the Markets, Public Policy & Law department. A lawyer and businessman, Randall has been with Questrom since 1999 and teaches undergraduate courses including business law, Internet law, and real property law. Randall has also taught seminars on privacy law within the Honors Program since 2005.

His awards include the Beckwith Prize for Teaching Excellence and Service to the Undergraduate Program in 2007, and the Broderick Award for Service to the Undergraduate Program in 2012.

As faculty director of the Honors Program, Randall works with fellow faculty and the Undergraduate Program Office staff to develop new, engaging seminars and plan events that encourage interaction between and among the Program’s students and faculty members.

“The Undergraduate Honors Program provides a unique opportunity for students to develop close relationships with one another, and with some of our most respected scholars and dynamic teachers. These relationships link students to the real-world network of Program alumni, many of whom enjoy great success in business and their professional careers, and to the students who will succeed them,” said Randall.

Prior to joining Questrom, Randall served as a transactional lawyer in a large corporate firm, representing municipalities, government agencies, underwriters, commercial real estate developers, and lenders, and as general counsel in a real estate development company. After a decade of practicing law, he moved to the business world, where he served as a manager of business and legal risk for the tax-exempt bond portfolio of a mutual management company. He later formed a financial advisory firm with a partner, specializing in non-rated tax-exempt finance.
