Developmental Behavior Genetics Laboratory

The focus of the Boston University Developmental Behavior Genetics Laboratory is the investigation of genetic and environmental influences on behavior across development.  Current research projects include studies of temperament, personality, life events and behavior problems in infancy, childhood, and adolescence.  Most of these studies employ a behavioral genetic perspective, relying on twin, adoption, and family designs to elucidate genetic and environmental factors that contribute to these traits and behaviors.  We also include molecular genetic techniques to some aspects of our research in order to bolster the results of behavioral investigations.
