Dr. Brody's Ph.D. (1977)
is from Harvard's personality and developmental psychology program.
Her clinical internship (1977-1978) was completed at Children's Memorial
Hospital, Chicago, and she joined the B.U. faculty in 1978. She served
as Director of the Clinical program from 1991-1996 and was a fellow
at the Radcliffe Bunting Institute in the academic year 1994-1995.
She teaches Psychotherapy, Child Therapy, Family Therapy and Special
Topics on the Family. Her research interests concern the emotional
development of children in relation to family and cultural patterns
of interaction. She has a particular interest in gender differences
in emotional development and in the relationships between gender roles
and emotion. She is the author of Gender, Emotion, and theFamily (1999,
Harvard U. Press) and Daughters of Kings (1997, Faber & Faber).
Her work has been funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. |
