Dr. Cronin-Golomb graduated from the California Institute of Technology in 1984 with a Ph.D. in Psychobiology. She joined the clinical faculty in 1989 and teaches courses in Neuropsychology. She is director (along with Dr. Michael Lyons) of the Center for Clinical Biopsychology and is director of the Vision and Cognition Laboratory.

Dr. Cronin-Golomb conducts research on visual factors influencing high-order cognitive capacities in normal aging and age-related neurological disease, with special emphasis on object identification in Alzheimer's disease and visuospatial function in Parkinson's disease. Her work is supported by the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke (NIH).

Dr. Cronin-Golomb's students and research associates are conducting neuropsychological studies with a variety of populations besides Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, including HIV and mitochondrial disorders. They also study normal aging. They collaborate on studies of perception, cognition, and neuroimaging with Boston University faculty from the Program in Brain, Behavior, and Cognition of the Department of Psychology; the Program in Neuroscience; and the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training of the Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. They are in active collaboration with research groups within the US as well as the UK and Australia.

Besides her affiliation with the Clinical Program, Dr. Cronin-Golomb is a member of the faculty of the Program in Brain, Behavior, and Cognition of the Department of Psychology and of the interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience.
