Curtis Runnels

Professor of Archaeology

Professor Runnels is an editor of the Journal of Field Archaeology and Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London. His interests involve prehistoric archaeology of the Aegean and lithic technology. Professor Runnels has been involved in fieldwork in Greece, Turkey, and Albania since 1973, including excavations, surveys, and laboratory studies. He was awarded the Frank and Lynne Wisneski Award for Excellence in Teaching by the Boston University College of Arts and Sciences in 2003 and the Archaeological Institute of America Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching in 1997.
