Opera Proxy Configuration
Please read all of these instructions first or print a hardcopy before beginning, as you will be unable to scroll the instructions while you are making configuration changes.
1. The first step in configuring your Opera browser is to locate the preferences configuration panel. This can be found by selecting Preferences under the File menu (or the Opera menu in OS X):
2. When the preferences panel appears, select the Network category on the Advanced tab and then click on the Proxy Servers button:
3. Select the Use automatic proxy configuration button, and fill in the Configuration location (URL) with the URL of the appropriate proxy configuration file for your campus as shown below.

4. Click the OK button and then click on Apply and OK. Your browser should now be configured to use the Boston University proxy servers. The first time you try to access an electronic resource licensed for off-campus use by Boston University faculty, staff, and students, you will be asked by the proxy server to authenticate with your Boston University account name and Kerberos password.
