About My CV
Boston University is implementing a software system, My CV, that will assist faculty in collecting and maintaining their scholarly and professional contributions, reducing the administrative burden on faculty members by storing scholarly data in one place. My CV will provide a repository for the University’s academic community to store basic profile information, such as appointments and education, as well as more detailed information, such as publications, teaching activities, grants and professional activities. Wherever possible, the system will be pre-populated with data from both internal and external source systems to save time and reduce the data entry effort for faculty. Additionally, the system will provide support for faculty in adhering to BU’s Open Access Policy by automatically flagging those publications that fall under the policy and making it easy to deposit into OpenBU. For more information about BU’s Open Access Policy, please see the FAQ page on the Boston University Libraries site. This multi-phase project will conclude with the implementation of the Assessment Module, which will replace the current Faculty Annual Review system on the Charles River Campus. Data will be automatically populated into the My CV Assessment Module, reducing the need for manual data entry in the faculty review process.
