UPA Presents: The Last Lecture

  • Starts: 5:30 pm on Tuesday, May 1, 2018
  • Ends: 6:30 pm on Tuesday, May 1, 2018
In recent tradition, the Undergraduate Psychology Association annually hosts their own rendition of "The Last Lecture," inviting a faculty member to reflect on the question, "What wisdom would you want to impart to the world if this were your last lecture to give?" This year we are inviting Dr. Kristin Long to share at "The Last Lecture." Kristin Long, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Boston University. In her “Last Lecture,” Dr. Long will reflect on the importance of self-awareness, the balance between intentionality and openness to new experiences, the importance of questioning assumptions, and the need to critically evaluate information when looking for answers. She will present a series of “lessons learned” and apply these lessons to her current work. Open to all, this presentation will be engaging and informative and also relevant to recent research. There will be a reception with refreshments to follow.
