Holocaust Remembrance Day

  • Starts: 9:00 am on Thursday, May 5, 2016
  • Ends: 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2016

Each year, the Boston University Community remembers the events of World War II and the Holocaust with a commemorative reading of the names of all those who perished. This year we ask that you join us on May 5th--Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) -- in our effort to never forget the lives that were lost.

The reading of the names will take place on Marsh Plaza on Thursday, May 5th from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We ask that you please sign up for a 10-minute shift during which you will have the honor of reading the names of some of the victims.

Also on May 5th, there will be a candle lighting ceremony that will take place on Marsh Plaza at 6:00 p.m. with the entire Boston University community. We hope that you can join us for these commemorative events.

If you would like to sign up for the readings of names, please email David Raphael (draphael@bu.edu) or put your information in the link above.
