The New England Philharmonic, under the direction of Richard Pittman, continues the tradition of presenting Boston and world premieres with one of each! The concert begins with the Boston Premiere of Michael Gandolfi’s Chesapeake: Summer, 1814 that chronicles the events that led to the creation of the Star Spangled Banner, featuring both the Simmons College and MIT College Choirs. The evening also marks the world premiere and NEP commission of Bernard Hoffer’s Violin Concerto, written for and performed by NEP’s Concertmaster Danielle Maddon.
