In the 60’s surfers in Malibu California had a motto spray painted all over the place, “Locals Only”, this was a way for them to protect their beach from any Valley kids coming over and trying to surf, it got pretty hairy. But today we think of that silly little saying and agree with those punks, Local Only! Local Only at our Farmer’s Market which will run from Sept. 5th through October 24th in the GSU Plaza. You will only find Local Only here, and taste, smell, hear and most importantly enjoy everything that will be offered. Use #BUFarmers when tweeting about this event. Also #lovebufood when instagramming The BU Farmer’s Market is a marketplace intended to support local, sustainable farmers and producers by connecting them to students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community on a weekly basis. Featuring: • Locally-grown fruits & vegetables from Ward’s Berry Farm, Sharon, MA • Fair Trade chocolate from Taza Chocolate in Somerville, MA • Honey from Follow the Honey in Cambridge, MA • Pastries from the Danish Pastry House in Medford, MA • Nuts from Q's Nuts in Somerville, MA
