Kelly Tsai presents Art as Healing Poetry Workshop

Award-winning spoken-word poet Kelly Tsai will be speaking at this unique event "Art as Healing: A Poetry Workshop”. Come join us in this discussion of the racialized aspects of sexual violence. Topics include fetishization, orientalism and the exotification of women of color. Tsai hails from Brooklyn, New York and her work addresses identity, culture and hip hop feminism. This poetry workshop will be in collaboration with BU 's own spoken-word collective, 'Speak For Yourself'. All are invited to experiment with writing and performing poetry as a means of expressing their lived experience.
