The Graduate Music Society at Boston University is pleased to present our sixth annual graduate student conference in musicology and ethnomusicology. The theme for this year's conference is "Music in and of America" and will feature presentations on a variety of topics relating to the diverse musical heritage of the United States. On Friday, February 15th, from 4:00 to 5:30pm, Professor E. Thomas Stanford of Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History will lead a discussion on the study of early American music in the Photonics Center. On Saturday, February 16th, presentations will be given in the Faculty Dining Room of the George Sherman Union from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Professor Carol Oja of Harvard University will deliver the keynote address.
