1984 Riots - Film and Discussion on Injustice Against Sikhs

1984: a year when thousands upon thousands of Sikh men, women and children died, a year that the Sikh’s most holy place, the Golden Temple, was seized and damaged, a year where human rights were abused and forgone, a year that will live in infamy. The Sikh Association of Boston University (SABU) along with the Health/Human Rights Club, BU Anti-War Coalition, and the Interfaith Council of BU will be holding an informational session about the Sikh riots of 1984 on Wednesday, November 28th at 7:30 PM in the Howard Thurman Center. This session will include: A short video explaining what happened in 1984, as well as a group discussion on the events of the riots and the implications on human rights.
