No Room for Wishing

  • Starts: 6:30 pm on Monday, November 12, 2012
Lecturer Ilana Brownstein, School of Theatre, and Danny Bryck (BFA, CFA ’09) will discuss No Room for Wishing, Bryck’s one-man documentary play about Occupy Boston. Compiled from interviews and live recordings during the occupation of Dewey Square in Fall 2011, No Room for Wishing follows Occupy Boston from its formation, through clashes with the police, infighting among the activists, legal battles and collective victories, to its eviction by the City of Boston. Dozens of real-life characters inhabit this fiercely immediate, up-close-and-personal encounter with our city, our nation, and ourselves. A reception will be held prior to the lecture at 6pm.
