Welcome to the Boston University Bridge Program!

The purpose of Summer Bridge is to prepare Boston University freshmen who are majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines for successful completion of degrees in these fields. To help start this process, we have developed a two-week program (August 13-24, 2012) with the following objectives:

Familiarize students with the university, particularly the STEM departments they are entering;
Provide specific information regarding academic expectations;
Review concepts and skills expected of entering freshmen, particularly in math and science;
Review general study and time management skills;
Help students establish peer study groups and networks with undergraduate and graduate mentors;
Introduce students to STEM faculty and research opportunities;
Inform students of careers and career paths in STEM professions.
