American Nurses Association President Karen Daley to Speak at Sargent College
Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (SAR) presents the 2014 Meredith E. Drench Lecture on Wednesday, April 30, 4 p.m. in SAR, Room 101. This year’s distinguished lecturer will be Karen A. Daley, President of the American Nurses Association. In what will be an engaging and thought-provoking discussion, Daley will share her journey from clinical nurse to patient and advocate, and will discuss the importance of caring for patients holistically from the perspective of a caregiver and health care consumer.
Focusing on the psycho-social aspects of rehabilitation, the College’s first endowed lecture series was established by Dr. Meredith E. Drench to share her passion and belief in the “compassionate rehabilitation” of the whole person.
A reception will follow the lecture in the Sargent College Setterberg Lounge. RSVP to Kat Tokarz to reserve your seats.
