  • I think about the criticism against black artists and songs in hip-hop that were accused of celebrating cop killers, violence, “reverse racism”, and anarchy. It’s interesting that those who are disenfranchised and ill-equipped to fight for themselves are disparaged for perpetuating a culture of violence. But those who had the power to fight and oppress are made to statues as emblems of liberty and honor.
