Groupon: Good business for merchants?

John Byers, associate professor of computer science, and his colleagues conducted a study with researchers at Harvard University to see if daily deal websites, like Groupon, are good for business and merchants. Byers spoke with Bloomberg Television saying merchants have to be careful when offering these deals and be aware that running them may be a reputational risk.
