What: Mayor Thomas Menino and his office are launching the City of Boston’s 2012 CAN Share campaign to support The Greater Boston Food Bank’s efforts to end hunger. Mayor Menino and a representative from The Greater Boston Food Bank are expected to speak to the public about the 2012 CAN Share campaign. Ben & Jerry’s and b.good will have their food trucks parked outside of City Hall and will be handing out free scoops of ice cream and milkshakes in exchange for a canned food donation. Ben & Jerry’s and b.good will compete to see who receives the most canned food donations. Ben & Jerry’s Boston stores will be collecting canned food donations beginning Monday, November 5th until the end of the year. All cans will be donated to The Greater Boston Food Bank.
Where: Boston City Hall Plaza; One City Hall Square, Boston, MA.
