volunteer & intern information

Volunteering
Be an integral part of your favorite arts nonprofit! There are a number of exciting volunteer opportunities available at the PRC's programs and events year-round, such as lectures and exhibit opening receptions. Event volunteers assist with setting up/cleaning up, bartending, serving food, greeting guests, handing out/collecting surveys, checking in attendees, and tracking audience numbers.

We always need volunteer event photographers as well. Event photos are posted on the PRC's Flickrand often selected for inclusion in Loupe, the PRC's journal, and the photographer receives proper photo credit in all instances.

Volunteer workshop assistants are available for all PRC workshops. These competitive positions offer an incredible opportunity to aid master photographers and help the PRC run the workshops successfully. Please contact Erin Wederbrook Yuskaitis, Program & Exhibition Manager, if you are interested and include a resume.

This event is a fabulous opportunity to experience a high-end auction firsthand. Help us spread the word and ask your friends to join you in volunteering!

If you are interested in serving as a general PRC volunteer, please contact us at info@prcboston.org or call 617.975.0600.

Internships
Learn firsthand the inner workings of a small nonprofit visual arts institution. The PRC offers unpaid internships to those with an interest in photography, visual arts, exhibitions, and/or arts administration. Undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent graduates are encouraged to apply. General internship duties include (but are not limited to) daily office tasks, database maintenance, help with exhibitions, preparation for our annual fundraising event, monitoring the gallery, assisting with opening receptions, lectures, and special events. Interns also write book and exhibition reviews for the PRC’s blog.

Internships are generally seasonal, but applications are accepted on a rolling basis and always welcome.
We are now accepting applications for Spring 2013 interns.
