An Evening at Howard Yezerski Gallery with Karl Baden Join us at Howard Yezerski Gallery to discuss Karl Baden’s new exhibit, Roadside Attraction with the artist himself, gallery owner, and gallery director. Through the shield of laminated safety glass, Baden exposes the view from his eye in Roadside Attraction. Framed by his car's perceptions, this world is wacky, quizzical, and incomprehensible. Spaces are inside out, and it takes time for your perception to settle. Where is he? What is that? Is he DRIVING? These are slow photographs; their content leaks out of those odd angles at its own pace. An Evening at the PRC with Francine Weiss and Ron Cowie
Join us in the PRC Gallery for an exclusive discussion of The Doors of Perception: Vision and Innovation in Alternative Processes, curated by Francine Weiss and featuring work by Ron Cowie. Weiss will explore the show’s themes and address the special concerns of collecting alternative process works. Cowie, a master platinum printer and instructor at the New England School of Photography, will discuss how his images celebrate the temporality of life and examine the permanence of change and his techniques for producing prints. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
